Maria's Story I wanted to be a developer so I started to watch tutorials on web and feeling good with all the knowledge that I found it. Also my cousin is developer and I like it all he does in this area. Every time I saw my cousin code, I discovered a new world full of opportunities and I wanted to be part of it. That's why I dedicated myself to studying on my own.

🙋‍♀️ Maria's Motivation

I always wanted to be a developer. I never studied it. However, nowadays I study from my home while watching some tutorials on web. And I want to have the opportunity for learning , and improving knowledge about coding through people whit more experiences in this area. I think coding is very important in this modern world, and people have to learn about it. Besides, where I live (Venezuela) I do not have opportunities for studying and learning how to code, because it is very expensive and I do not have enough money for paying courses.

🤹‍♀️ Maria's Hobbies

I like studying, reading, watching TV and learning new things. Also, I like to walk

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
