Yelyzaveta's Story Coding as a science drew my attention yet during tech classes in school. We were learning some basic rules and writing our first codes in Notes. I remember the fascination I felt realizing that a seemingly simple combination of signs makes mechanisms work and creates something that any individual can actually use to make life better. Now, when I`m 21, I still continue to wonder how humans learned to turn even more complex groups of signs and sentences into apps. That`s definitely what I want to be able to do. That is the way I can make my contribution to the well-being of people all over the world.

🙋‍♀️ Yelyzaveta's Motivation

My name is Liza and I`m from Kyiv. You know, I`ve always been interested in programming, but stereotypes about the difficulty of this profession and the fact that it was a male-dominated field of knowledge shaped the choice of my study program and overshadowed my self-belief. When in Kyiv, I have been still looking for myself never deciding on a single path, but now I`m sure that I must obtain the courage to finally learn what I've always wanted to try, but never considered myself “enough”. I really want to do it because...If not now, then when? Wait, this question is not really relevant. "If not now, will tomorrow be at all?" is what really matters...

🤹‍♀️ Yelyzaveta's Hobbies

Along with learning languages, which is both my hobby and study area (I`m studying to become an interpreter of English and German) I`m keen on design. Except for this course, I`m currently finishing a UX/UI certification on Coursera from Google, but it’s just for fun. I like to dive deep into how the user thinks and how I can make their journey smooth and beautiful by means of design. Besides, in my free time, I love to work out. Exercising keeps my body fit and my mind sharp.
