Lada's Story When I started working on my multilingual book on teaching languages using non-standard techniques, I realized that I needed coding knowledge to create appealing websites, apps and interactive games to debunk the stereotypes surrounding the learning of foreign languages depicting such endeavours as mission impossible.  In order to motivate students and adults from the very beginning of their learning attempts, and to concretely help them effectively learn any language independently, I need to have the necessary freedom and flexibility to implement my ideas, to fine tune them, and to make them accessible free-of-charge to as many children and adults as possible.  For this, I have to learn coding.  I also want to motivate everybody to be intellectually active at any time of their life.  Also, since I am volunteering with adult orphans, I want to show them that it is important to always be in the learning mode, and that one should be determined and true to one's aspirations and dreams.

🙋‍♀️ Lada's Motivation

Learning to code will improve my chances on the labour market in finding a well remunerated and interesting job as a front-end or back-end developer.  Moreover, I have written a booklet in multiple languages on how to teach Ukrainian to foreigners whose mother tongue is not only English.  In the works, is one to teach various foreign languages to Ukrainians.  I need to create an interactive user-friendly app to dissiminate the practical information contained in this book.  To facilitate language learning across the world using a non-traditional approach, I need to learn coding at a professional level in order to be able to implement one of my dreams without having to depend on other people who are too busy to take on worthy educational projects.

🤹‍♀️ Lada's Hobbies

At the present time, I have to limit myself mainly to chess playing, learning foreign and computer languages, listening to analytical talk shows on current affairs, reading on history, politics, theology and travels, volunteering with homeless animals and adult orphans 18-25 years old. But I also like music, macrame, drawing, embroidering,  choir singing, cycling, bird watching, and word games.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
