Anita's Story Even though I used to work as an English teacher, computers and coding were always something that interested me. For example, when I studied at college, I was one of the best students on IT classes while trying to make my own website or implement interactive materials for my students with the help of code. Moreover, I have many friends who are developers, and I can see how passionate they are about their job. They can literally spend hours coding, and every time they show me something they programmed, I am fascinated. Last but not the least, I'm a life-long learner. I can't sit still; my brain always has to be busy with something, and that's why I reckon that coding is the best occupation for me.

🙋‍♀️ Anita's Motivation

Actually, I have several goals in learning how to code with SheCodes. Firstly, I want to become a developer because it touches the sphere of my interest, and I would like to work in this field. I find it very creative, but at the same time, analytical, and it even matches with my personality type (I'm an INTJ, and they are inventive thinkers). Another reason is to be a good specialist and to be able to live a better life. Because of the war in Ukraine, I have lost almost everything; my family is still there; therefore, I'm trying to build a new path for me and, in the future, my relatives in Belgium. To accomplish my goals, I need to study hard, and I find SheCodes a perfect place for a young woman with my interests and passions.

🤹‍♀️ Anita's Hobbies

I'm a very versatile person, so I have different hobbies. For instance, I paint a lot using different materials (watercolor, oil or acrylic paints); also, I read books and write my own short stories. Moreover, I'm into gaming (I'm crazy about The Witcher) and board games. In addition, I learn languages; for example, now I'm focusing on Dutch and French.

Anita's coding training

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
