Toma's Story I first became interested in coding when some of my classmates organized a free two weeks python class. The classes were my first step to get into tech. I got fascinated by the fact that I could write a bunch of 'foreign words' and get the computer to do what I want it to. After the bootcamp, I read books on python and learnt so much more. After awhile, I realized that python is not what I want to do now and got into frontend web development. It's been going well save for that I'm finding JavaScript really hard. 🙋‍♀️ Toma's Motivation

SheCodes offers a safe space for ladies from developing countries that wish to go into tech and have no money to pay for resources. That describes me. The reviews from ladies on your websites and on Twitter motivates me to learn with you so I can become as good as those women too. I want to learn with SheCodes to become a good frontend developer.

🤹‍♀️ Toma's Hobbies

I like to read e-novels on Wattpad and Buenovela; and eat.

🎯

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
