Alycia's Story I became fascinated with coding because of my passion for website design and management. Additionally, having an older brother who is an IT manager sparked my curiosity in the coding and backend aspects of computers and software.

🙋‍♀️ Alycia's Motivation

I'm currently working as a digital marketing specialist and managing my company's website. However, since we are a non-profit organization, we need to update our website while keeping costs in mind. To achieve this, I've decided to learn coding so that I can handle website updates myself, saving my company money. Additionally, I also have an interest in coding on the side to generate an extra income. Although I am aware that my company might not be able to provide a salary increase, I truly enjoy the work environment I'm in.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
