Anastasiia's Story When I was at school I created my first website. I've no idea why it seemed so cool to me at that moment, but since then I was always leaning towards tech fields. I participated in all-Ukrainian competitions developing my skills further. At some point in my early 20s I discovered how useful 3D printers could be and decided to learn about that technology as much as I could via public resources. I even taught some workshops to local young Ukrainian girls from families with financial struggles.

🙋‍♀️ Anastasiia's Motivation

I'd like to create creative yet informative data visualisations about injustice in the world. And when I found out how cool dataviz could be using Python and Java I understood that I need to improve my coding skills right away. I'm a strong believer in equal rights and I think such platform as SheCodes is a great way to provide women with additional access to STEM fields usually dominated by men.

🤹‍♀️ Anastasiia's Hobbies

I like playing Shogi, learning Japanese, and collecting as much as resources as I possibly could to build my personal digital PKM system.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
