Andile's Story As I was browsing through trying to find new skills to learn to change my career path from Biochemistry I came across a video from TikTok explaining about coding I became interested and have embarked in doing HTML & CSS. After finishing a few videos from YouTube I started browsing for more structured course to do and learn coding, hence my application to SheCodes

🙋‍♀️ Andile's Motivation

Learning to code for me is more about learning a new skill and also for financial security. As an unemployed graduate I have gravitated more into trying to learn new skills to increase my chances of being employable, I knew I had to change my career path from Biochemistry to something else and then I came across programming. I need to be financially secured because as a young mother of two daughters I need to provide and make sure we have a comfortable life.

🤹‍♀️ Andile's Hobbies

I enjoy gardening and hiking and sometimes booking reading.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
