Annelise's Story I first became interested in coding when I started noticing how much of everyday life is powered by websites and apps. I was curious about how things like online stores, social media platforms, and even simple websites are actually built behind the scenes. At first, it felt like something only highly technical people could do, but the more I looked into it, the more I realized it was something I could learn step by step. My interest grew when I tried small online tutorials and saw how a few lines of code could actually create something visible on a screen, like a button changing color or a simple webpage layout. That moment made coding feel more real and less intimidating. It was exciting to see immediate results from my work. I also became interested because I enjoy problem-solving and creating things. Coding felt like a mix of both logical thinking and creativity working together. From there, I started exploring web development more seriously and became motivated to learn properly through structured programs like SheCodes so I could build real projects and improve my skills.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to build practical digital skills that can open up new career and creative opportunities. I am especially interested in web development because it combines creativity with logic, allowing me to design something visually appealing while also making it functional and user-friendly. I also want to gain more confidence in working with technology. Sometimes technology can feel overwhelming, but learning step by step in a structured environment like SheCodes makes it more approachable. I am motivated by the idea of being able to turn ideas into real projects, whether that is a personal website, a portfolio, or even future freelance work. Another important reason is career growth. Coding skills are highly valued across many industries, and I want to improve my job prospects by adding technical abilities to my skill set.
