Asanda's Story I became interested in coding when a close friend of mine got the opportunity to study for it. He said to me " even you can do this". I guess I was intrigued because I thought there is no way it looks like there is a lot of numbers and I would have to be really great at mathematics. Then my cousin told me about SheCodes and I woke up one day and decided to join the Express workshop. I am happy to say I have genuinely found a career that is so interesting and one that requires me to just be determined and eager and those are characteristics I display.

I think it is a platform that gives hope that if you put your mind to something you can do it. I attended the SheCodesExpress class and I can truly say I found my passion. It gave me hope that I can develop my skills and move into tech. It made me realize that there are so many women in tech but given this opportunity I would give to the next person hopefully someday I can have an NGO that empowers young girls in schools specially in high school who are looking at career options. I am happy to say I finally found a passion that I want to turn into a career.

I definetly love to learn new skills, I love listening to music so much, I spend time with my siblings and I love to find peace in solitude lol!

Asanda's coding training

Asanda has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
