asiphile's Story CURIOSITY. I was fascinated by the tech world. Seeing my mother enter a male-dominated industry gave birth to a fire inside me that I did not know existed. I wondered how these machines worked, how fast they were evolving, and the upgrades that made working with them easier emerged, and that's where my research into the IT world began. When I found out there are careers in this field I can pursue, I have been hooked ever since.

🙋‍♀️ asiphile's Motivation

Growing up as a girl child in my community has chiseled the notion that women can only be nurses or teachers, a lawyer or a doctor if you are lucky, and that has limited me tremendously. I want to prove to myself that I can do what I love no matter what the community mores say. More importantly to show young girls in my community that they too can achieve their dreams and know that it is possible. SheCodes eradicates this notion setting me free to be MYSELF and do what I LOVE.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
