Ayabonga's Story I first became interested in 2020 but I think even before I was always interested to know how the software of technology works from my first computer lesson in Primary school.

🙋‍♀️ Ayabonga's Motivation

I have always been interested in coding and computers but I think because of lack of representation in the field it always felt like something far fetched. I also thought it was expensive to study and even breakthrough the industry because I had never seen or even heard of black female coders. I even tried learning using FreeCodeCamp but was discouraged because it looked a bit daunting. I am in a space now where I can learn and have mustered my own motivation and platforms like this help a lot.

🤹‍♀️ Ayabonga's Hobbies

I like listening to music and I'm currently learning how to play guitar as well. I love reading and do a bit of writing as well.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
