Ayanda's Story I first became interested in coding when I was introduced to it by a friend who was already working in the tech industry. She explained the basics of coding and showed me some simple projects she had worked on, which sparked my curiosity. I was drawn to the creative problem-solving aspect of coding and the potential to build innovative solutions that could positively impact society. As I learned more about coding, I realized that it was not just about writing code, but also about understanding the logic and reasoning behind it. By acquiring coding skills, I aim to improve my job skills, increase my earning potential, and provide a better life for my family. Additionally, I am passionate about empowering women in tech and believe that coding is a valuable skill that can open doors to new opportunities.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books on various topics, including science fiction and self-improvement. I also like to explore new places, try out new recipes, and practice yoga. I find that these activities help me relax and recharge, allowing me to approach coding with a fresh perspective. Additionally, I appreciate spending time with friends and family, whether it's going for a hike or simply having a conversation over coffee. These hobbies not only bring me joy but also help me maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Ayanda's coding training

Ayanda has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
