BASHIRU's Story I first became interested in coding through my curiosity about technology and how digital tools are created. My parents encouraged me to explore technology, which motivated me to learn more about computers and programming. Later, I participated in programs such as Django Girls and Tech Circle, where I was introduced to coding and had the opportunity to build simple projects. Seeing how code could be used to create interactive applications and solve problems made me even more passionate about technology. Since then, I have continued learning and developing my skills because I enjoy creating, innovating, and using technology to make a positive impact.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to deepen the technical skills I have already started developing through programs like Django Girls and Tech Circle. Technology has always fascinated me because it allows people to turn ideas into solutions that can solve real world problems I hope to build innovative projects, including applications that can help people in areas such as education and personal development. As a young Nigerian woman passionate about technology, I want to continue learning, gain practical experience, and prepare myself for future opportunities such as scholarships, internships, and a career in tech. I believe SheCodes will help me grow my confidence, improve my coding skills, and connect with a global community of women in technology

Some of my hobbies include coding, reading, writing poems, playing basketball, and participating in debates. I enjoy exploring new technologies and working on small projects that help me improve my programming and problem solving skills. For fun I also like creating content, learning new skills, and spending time with friends and family. I especially enjoy activities that allow me to be creative, learn something new, and make a positive impact on others.

BASHIRU's coding training

BASHIRU has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
