BETELHEM's Story I first became interested in coding after seeing how technology changed the lives of people around me, especially some of my friends who started learning tech skills and opened new opportunities for themselves. Watching them grow, gain confidence, and work toward better futures made me realize how powerful coding can be. It inspired me to believe that I could also build a better future through technology. Since then, I have been teaching myself through YouTube videos and other free online resources whenever I have time. Even though I did not have access to paid courses or formal training, I enjoyed learning step by step and challenging myself to understand new concepts. The more I learned, the more interested and motivated I became. Coding became more than just a skill I wanted to learn - it became something that gave me hope and excitement about my future.

I have always been interested in coding and technology. When I heard about She Codes Foundation and how it gives women in developing countries the chance to learn coding for free, I felt really hopeful and excited. It seemed like an opportunity that could help me move closer to my dreams. I am a hardworking and motivated student who loves learning, but financial challenges have made it difficult for me to access opportunities in tech. Even so, I still believe that education and skills can completely change someone’s future. If there is even a small chance for me to improve my life and help support my family, I am willing to work hard for it. That is why I am applying to She Codes Foundation. I want to learn, grow, and build real skills in coding so I can create better opportunities for myself in the future.

I really enjoy cooking different kinds of foods and trying new tastes. I like watching movies, reading books. I also enjoy nature so I hike sometimes.

BETELHEM's coding training

BETELHEM has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
