Bethelhem's Story My interest in coding began when I realized the potential it has to solve problems and create meaningful solutions. I’ve always been fascinated by technology and how things work behind the scenes. One day, I came across a project where I saw how coding could turn an idea into reality. Whether it was building websites or automating processes, I was amazed at how coding could bring so much creativity and innovation. As I explored more, I began to see how coding is an empowering tool, especially for women who want to break into the tech world. This inspired me to take the first step toward learning to code and harnessing its power to not only pursue personal growth but also contribute to a more inclusive and diverse tech community.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is deeply rooted in my passion for women’s empowerment and breaking barriers in the tech industry. As a woman, I’ve often encountered the underrepresentation of women in fields like technology, and I want to be part of the change that encourages more women to pursue careers in STEM. Learning to code through SheCodes will not only help me gain technical skills but also give me the confidence to lead, create, and inspire other women to follow their passions in tech. SheCodes offers a supportive environment that fosters growth, collaboration, and leadership, and I believe this will be the ideal platform for me to build a foundation in web development. My ultimate goal is to empower myself and other women by demonstrating that we can thrive in tech, innovate, and make an impact in the world.

Some of my hobbies include exploring creative projects, such as graphic design, painting, and photography. I enjoy expressing myself through visual art and design, which has sparked my interest in web development, as it combines creativity with technical skills. I also love reading about new trends in technology and innovation, which keeps me inspired and motivated to continue learning. In addition, I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and traveling, as they allow me to recharge and gain new perspectives. Overall, I like to balance my creative and technical passions with physical activities that help me stay grounded and energized.

Bethelhem's coding training

Bethelhem has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
