Bohdana's Story The very first time I ever tried coding was back in school, when we were asked to create our own simple website, I was fascinated by the process, but since that was a senior year at school I really didn't have much time to dig into programming, until recently I decided to change my career so I started to look for some free resources in order to learn coding, I watched some videos on YouTube and tried to run a few commands, I liked the result, but I also realized that it is quite hard to learn everything by yourself

🙋‍♀️ Bohdana's Motivation

I am seeking the better job opportunities, I was working as a teacher of English, but after the beginning of the war the demand for teachers dropped drastically, so this SheCodes course is the possibility for me to get a better job and to work from any part of the world, IT sphere is expanding with every month so the demand for the IT specialists increases too

🤹‍♀️ Bohdana's Hobbies

I am really into photography and language learning, before the war I also liked rambling around Kyiv to find the new beautiful and interesting places, also I like reading sci-fi and fantasy

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
