Bombethu's Story It started about three years ago when I was in high school and a small coding bootcamp program was introduced at my school. The idea of learning how to code immediately caught my attention. Unfortunately, the program did not continue because there were not enough students interested in it. Even though it ended, the experience stayed with me (i still remember being taught how to code 'Print("Hello, world")') and sparked a lasting interest in coding. Since then, I have continued to look for opportunities to learn and develop this skill.

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes is to gain valuable digital skills that can open doors to opportunities in the vastly growing tech industry. As a woman in a developing country, I see this programme as a chance to build skills that will allow me to create a better future for myself and inspire other women to explore opportunities in Tech. I want to gain practical tech skills that can expand my career opportunities and empower me. I am excited to learn, grow, and use coding to create solutions and build a better future for myself and people in my community.

I love reading and watching movies/series. And on the active side, I do enjoy going on hikes and nature walks. Occasionally I like going out hanging it with friends, trying new things.

Bombethu's coding training

Bombethu has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
