buhle's Story My interest in coding started out of simple curiosity. Managing everyday office tasks and client workflows, I kept noticing how much of our efficiency depended on the software systems we used daily. I found myself wondering how those applications were actually built behind the scenes and whether I could learn to create tools like that myself. When I started reading about web development, I realized coding wasn't just about abstract math or complex algorithms; it was about creative problem-solving and making life easier for people. The idea of taking a blank page and building something functional and interactive from scratch completely hooked me. Now, I am eager to turn that initial curiosity into structured, practical skills. Learning to code feels like the ultimate way to challenge myself, adapt to an increasingly digital world, and open up exciting new professional paths.

Learning to code is an exciting next step in my professional journey. Having spent my career managing operations and helping clients, I have seen firsthand how powerful technology is in solving everyday problems and making workflows smoother. I want to learn web development so I can transition into tech-driven roles, build intuitive digital solutions, and broaden my career opportunities. The SheCodes Foundation provides the perfect supportive environment to help me build technical skills from the ground up. Beyond my own personal growth, I want to use this opportunity to encourage other women in my community to step into tech and gain modern, practical skills. Receiving this scholarship would give me the structured foundation, hands-on experience, and community support I need to build a meaningful, long-term career in tech. In my spare time, I love getting my hands dirty in my garden or getting lost in fanfic book. Gardening keeps me grounded and patient, while reading gives me a fresh perspective and a way to unwind. Both hobbies help me stay curious, focused, and creative.

buhle's coding training

buhle has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
