catherine's Story I first become interested in coding when an organization that helps my daughter an other children living with type 1 diabetes(DMI-Diabetes management &Information Center)gave us a CGM and connected it to the phone app. It made tracking of the sugars and management of the same so easy and what a relief it gave to my daughter. When it was not available anymore, it made me just keep thinking of how I can make one for free for my daughter and other kids. This has been the eye opener and I have been self studying on YouTube videos(beginner python ,data analytics, SQL)to try and see how I will bring it to life.

🙋‍♀️ catherine's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code is so that I can be able to create the software, apps and AI agents ideas that I have. These are to help make life easier for individuals(an app to help kids living with Type1 diabetes such as my daughter),business process optimization and all sectors of work. I want to be able to bring my ideas to life so that I can make a change in my community and world at large but also making a living as well.

🤹‍♀️ catherine's Hobbies

My hobbies are swimming(not so good at it,still improving), singing, dancing and watching movies.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
