Chit Su's Story For my entire life, I have always been a user. But now I want to be a developer. As a child, I often went to my aunt’s room to play games on her computer. Since then, I have always wondered what lies beyond the icons and buttons on the computer screen that multiple tasks can perform when we click on them. When I was in high school, computer classes were my favorite classes. But the gap years after high school was the time I could find what I am really interested in. I tried out a lot of subjects, including architecture, medicine, languages, and business, by taking courses or searching online. When I first took an introductory course on programming on an online learning platform, I found it fascinating to learn how the web works carrying data back and forth from the server to the client and how the developers work on the back end and front end. One thing I know is that I want to dig deeper and learn more about web development.

I am a high school graduate student and it’s been three years since I couldn’t join any university. SheCodes is an opportunity for me to achieve my dreams of getting into the IT industry and starting a career. Coding itself is a motivation for me. I am currently learning Python language and it is very interesting for me to think about and decide the best way to write the code in order to get a particular output. I always feel excited to explore new things about programming. SheCodes has a well-structured curriculum with projects where I can turn my knowledge into action. I can learn to code interactively and in an organized way. I believe this is where I can have a good foundation in coding and guide me through the way toward my goal.

There are quite a few things I like to do in my free time. But my favorites are listening to music and watching TV shows. Sometimes, I also read books before going to bed because it can help me to get more knowledge and generate more ideas.

Chit Su's coding training

Chit Su has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
