Christly Jean's Story My friends, whom I met while playing online games during the pandemic, ignited my curiosity in coding. After learning that I was learning no-coding website design like Squarespace, one of my IT buddies offered to make me a graphic design portfolio website. The difficulty of the endeavor struck me as I watched him on Discord code, and I realized I couldn't rely on him to spend hours creating a website for me, given his own professional obligations. He assured me that coding was simple, but I felt I wanted to try it myself before fully agreeing him. This experience inspired me to learn more about coding.

One of my favorite hobbies is traditional drawing. I am enthralled with scenarios where I am as small as a bug, exploring the vastness and diversity of the world we inhabit and all of which I joyfully capture on paper. I also enjoy online gaming sessions with friends and binge reading graphic novels.

Christly Jean has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
