Dané's Story I took “CAT” (Computer Application Technology) as a subject in school and was really interested. A friend of mine is a Software developer and I enjoy watching him code. I have started watching a few coding videos and taught myself a bit of HTML and CSS.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from a strong desire to develop practical digital skills that can open up new career opportunities and enhance my creativity. In today’s technology-driven world, coding is an essential skill that empowers people—especially women—to create, solve problems, and innovate. I’m particularly drawn to SheCodes because of its supportive community and focus on empowering women in tech. Learning to code will not only allow me to build websites and applications but also help me gain confidence in a field where women are often underrepresented. I’m excited to challenge myself, learn something new, and potentially transition into a tech-related role in the future.

Dané's coding training

Dané has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
