Delilah's Story Coding became an interest for me when I learnt how to design websites through website building application like wix, workpress and site builder. In doing my research, I learnt that coding is an essential skill in IT regardless of the IT interests I have now and any interests I might develop as I get into the IT industry. My research thus contributed to my interest in coding as I understood the need learn how to code.

🙋‍♀️ Delilah's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is driven by my aspiration to enter the IT industry, specifically focusing on cyber security and website design. Coming from a legal background, I aim to acquire a hybrid set of skills that combine expertise from both the IT and legal industries. By acquiring coding skills, I believe I will have a competitive advantage, opening up a wider range of opportunities and increasing my chances of securing a well-paying job. This is particularly important to me as I need to support my son and ensure he receives a quality education. Additionally, SheCodes will play a significant role in empowering me as one of the few women in the tech field, allowing me to contribute to bridging the gender gap in technology.

Delilah's coding training

Delilah has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
