Eleni's Story My journey into coding really started thanks to my brother, who works as a data analyst. Growing up, I admired how he could take complex datasets and turn them into clear, actionable insights. He would often share stories about his projects, and I was captivated by how coding was at the heart of it all. One day, I watched him work on a particularly challenging problem, and I was amazed at how he approached it with creativity and logic. He encouraged me to give it a try, sharing resources and patiently guiding me through the basics. His enthusiasm was contagious, and I found myself wanting to learn more. It felt empowering to create something from scratch, and I realized that coding could be a powerful tool for solving real-world issues. His support has been a constant source of inspiration, motivating me to pursue my own path in this exciting field.

My motivation for learning to code with SheCodes comes from a desire to gain valuable skills and empower myself in the tech industry. As a woman, I recognize the importance of having a voice in a predominantly male field, and coding is a crucial skill that can open up new opportunities. SheCodes provides a supportive community where women can collaborate and learn from each other, which is incredibly encouraging. I'm also excited about the creative potential coding offers; being able to develop apps or build websites allows me to bring my ideas to life. The structured curriculum and hands-on projects align with my learning style, making the process both enjoyable and practical. Ultimately, I want to establish a strong foundation in coding to contribute meaningfully to projects, enhance my career prospects, and inspire other women to pursue their interests in technology.

Some of my favorite hobbies include watching K-dramas and hiking. K-dramas have a special place in my heart; I love getting lost in the captivating stories, rich characters, and beautiful cinematography. There’s something about the blend of romance, drama, and humor that keeps me coming back for more. It’s a great way to unwind and escape into another world. On the other hand, hiking allows me to connect with nature and clear my mind. I enjoy exploring new trails, whether it’s a challenging mountain hike or a trip to churches . The fresh air and stunning scenery are incredibly refreshing, and it gives me a sense of adventure. Combining these hobbies brings balance to my life: the excitement of K-dramas fuels my imagination, while hiking keeps me grounded and active. Together, they create a fulfilling and enjoyable routine.

Eleni's coding training

Eleni has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
