Eljenè 's Story I’m a psychology student and in the beginning of the year I started my own company. It’s a school for children with ASD. I needed a website and I didn’t have the capital to pay people, so as I do with everything that’s too expensive, I researched a DIY way to get onto my project and it was love at first sight. I found coding to be really fun and it’s nice to build something and see the results of what you’re doing.

🙋‍♀️ Eljenè 's Motivation

In the beginning of the year I really found a liking towards coding and building websites. I have been teaching myself how to code but I’m struggling because I have not adopted a curriculum and so I get lost mostly. I believe SheCodes can really assist me in that department and I can then be sure to learn everything in the correct order.

🤹‍♀️ Eljenè 's Hobbies

I like to watch educational documentaries. I also like to read self help books .

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
