Emily's Story The subject " Introduction to Programming " which I did at college triggered my interest in programming. Just to learn that the instructions in a code can accomplish something as the output is so fascinating to me. I would love to learn more and be able to write code for programs that can be used across thr world.

🙋‍♀️ Emily's Motivation

I studied Computer studies at a technical college and the programming languages which we were taught are the older ones, which are no longer in use. I tried learning, on my own, other programming languages which are widely in usebut it did not work out. The funds were a limiting factor. I would be very grateful if I get this opportunity. I would then be able to improve my chances of getting an income and better the life of my family as I am currently unemployed.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
