Eunice's Story Before I started coding in March 2022, I used to hear a lot of "oh programming is hard", "it's for men", "there are simpler things, why this?" and all of these made me see coding as a very hard but then, my brother introduced me to python programming and then frontend development and I remember clearly that day when he said "you can build anything. Think of something, anything, you can build it with programming!". That birthed my interest and I have not looked back since then.

🙋‍♀️ Eunice's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is largely based on the need to solve real life problems (seeing that a few lines of code can take a website or an app from good to amazing is always something that excites me!), improve my job skills and position for a successful career as I am a recent graduate, and to acquire skills that will not just be useful for me but with which I can teach other women in my community that in spite of the limitations in our environment, they also can do it.

🤹‍♀️ Eunice's Hobbies

I like to read, watch limited series and dance in front of my mirror.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
