Evelyn's Story When I learnt html and css.In our high-tech society, knowing how to code can land me a great job or come in handy as a hobby. Although writing lines of code can sound intimidating or even boring. Me thinking of coding will be like an outlet for creativity, a way to dig deeper into my current interests, or a way to achieve a specific goal which can help me get interested. Jumping in and trying out some coding in a coding group, or on my own with software or websites, can help me further in develop an interest in coding. Hence my first desire to code.

To improve on my digital skills as well as use the skills learnt to help the community I belong.Coding is important to learn because it teaches me important skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Coding is also a skills that is valued in the workforce.

Although Programming is a great profession but often it can be stressful and mentally exhausting. Having and engaging in a hobby can be very relaxing. There are certain hobbies that has helped me this far, such as cooking, writing, listening to music, teaching, learning, as well as coding with html and css.

Evelyn's coding training

Evelyn has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
