Fantaye's Story I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and when I was on campus, I was very happy when I learned computer programming, but it was difficult for me to code because when I entered campus, it was after I finished mathematics in the 2nd year and my classmates already had coding knowledge, so it affected me because I could not keep up with them, but it was a lot of effort. I graduated by doing my thesis project so my interest in coding was there since then.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
