Farwa's Story My friends who are already involved in coding shared their experiences and the impact it has had on their lives. They spoke about the new job opportunities, improved analytical thinking, and expanded skill sets that come with learning how to code. Their enthusiasm and passion for coding inspired me to explore this field further and consider how it could benefit me personally and professionally then I became interested in coding when I heard about the SheCodes Foundation and the incredible work they are doing to empower women in developing countries and refugee communities through free coding workshops. Additionally, reading about other girls and women who have pursued coding and the positive impact it has had on their lives also motivated me to become interested in coding. Their stories of breaking barriers, defying societal expectations, and making a difference in the tech industry resonated with me deeply. Overall, my interest in coding was sparked by the incredible work of SheCodes Foundation, the encouragement of my friends, and the inspiring stories of women who have embraced coding. I am excited to embark on this journey and contribute to the movement of empowering women through technology.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
