Fatima's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized the enormous impact that technology and computer programming have on our daily lives. I was fascinated by how a simple line of code could create complex software, websites, and applications that we use every day. As someone who is passionate about problem-solving and creativity, I saw coding as a way to express my ideas and bring them to life in a digital format. Additionally, I was inspired by the countless success stories of individuals who had transformed their lives and careers through coding. I saw coding as a valuable skill that could open up opportunities for me to work in diverse industries, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and contribute to positive change in the world. This motivation and curiosity drove me to explore coding further and ultimately led me to pursue learning with SheCodes.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to empower myself with practical skills that can open up new opportunities for me, especially in a challenging environment like Afghanistan. By learning to code, I hope to gain valuable knowledge that can help me secure a stable and fulfilling career, despite the challenges I may face as a woman in my country. I believe that acquiring coding skills will allow me to be more independent, resourceful, and competitive in the job market, ultimately leading to a brighter future for myself and my family.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books, particularly fiction and self-improvement genres. I find reading to be a great way to relax, escape into different worlds, and learn new things. I also love exploring the outdoors and staying active. Hiking, cycling, and yoga are some of my favorite activities that allow me to connect with nature, stay fit, and clear my mind. I am passionate about art and creativity, so I often engage in drawing, painting, and crafting. It's a therapeutic outlet for me where I can express my emotions and ideas in a visual form. Lastly, I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes. Experimenting with flavors and ingredients in the kitchen is not only fun but also a rewarding experience when I get to share delicious meals with friends and family.

Fatima's coding training

Fatima has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
