Fatoye's Story I was 13 years old when I was first introduced to coding by my sister. She downloaded a coding app for children on my father’s phone, where I learned JavaScript. It felt more like playing games than learning, and that was when I fell in love with coding. At the time, I didn’t know that there were different programming languages or different fields within coding, but I already knew that I was very interested in it. I began researching the different areas of coding, the programming languages available, and what they were used for. I learned a lot about coding and decided that I wanted to learn it and build a career from it, especially after discovering that people could make a living from their coding skills.
