Favour's Story I first became interested in coding while working as a graphic designer. I enjoyed creating visually appealing designs but found myself curious about how websites and applications functioned behind the scenes. I wanted to know how my designs could come to life and be interactive. This curiosity led me to start exploring coding. I began with basic HTML and CSS to see how designs are turned into web pages. It was fascinating to see how a few lines of code could transform static images into dynamic, interactive websites. My interest grew as I realized the potential of coding to expand my creative abilities. I started taking online tutorials and experimenting with small projects. I enjoyed the problem-solving aspect of coding and the satisfaction of building something functional from scratch. The more I learned, the more I saw the endless possibilities coding offers. Seeing how technology drives innovation and shapes our daily lives, I became motivated to dive deeper into coding. I wanted to create not just beautiful designs but also functional, impactful applications. Now, with SheCodes, I have the opportunity to turn this interest into a solid skill set. My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my love for technology and my desire to create new solutions that can make a difference. SheCodes offers a supportive and structured environment that helps women succeed in the tech industry, which fits perfectly with my goal of starting and growing in this field. SheCodes' hands-on approach ensures I gain real-world skills and the confidence to solve complex coding problems. I like how SheCodes makes learning fun and effective, helping me move forward at a good pace while mastering important ideas. The community aspect of SheCodes is very appealing. Being part of a group of learners and mentors gives me great networking opportunities, support, and inspiration. Learning from others and sharing my own journey builds a sense of teamwork and motivation. In the end, learning to code with SheCodes will let me work on important projects, bring about change, and advance my career in tech. I enjoy graphic design, coding, and working on personal projects for fun. I also love spending time outdoors hiking or cycling, reading books on tech and personal development, and cooking new recipes. These hobbies help me stay creative, relaxed, and inspired.

Favour's coding training

Favour has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
