Fiona's Story Every machine runs on a coding of sorts, and knowing this made me very invested in learning how to create such coding that made a machine function so thoroughly. I also find it very fascinating how coding works and finding out it's not as easy as I thought it was made me more interested in it.

🙋‍♀️ Fiona's Motivation

As a young kid, I've always been interested in finding out what makes machines work the way they do and what program runs them. It was only this year that I took this passion seriously as I was deciding what field of studies I would love to go into. IT was my number one option but I didn't consider its components and different sections until now. So I started branching out due to a friend's advice and figured out why not start with learning how to code and then study further afterwards, which is what led me here.

🤹‍♀️ Fiona's Hobbies

I love writing, ever since I was a kid I've been writing books, poems and the sorts for fun. Not to mention I absolutely love spending time with my friends and family. Im a bit of an adventurous person so I love going on hikes, beach runs, walks, rides of sorts and so forth.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
