Hamida's Story Since all schools and courses are closed for girls in my country, I refused to give up and started exploring the internet. I discovered coding videos on YouTube and fell in love with how technology allows you to create something global from anywhere in the world. Although I only know the basics from watching videos and haven't had formal training yet, I am passionate and fully ready to learn properly through SheCodes.

🙋‍♀️ Hamida's Motivation

Living in Afghanistan, options for girls are extremely limited right now, and we are not allowed to study or work outside the home. My biggest motivation is to become financially independent and build an online career from my room. I want to learn to code so I can work remotely with international clients, build a secure future for myself, and prove that nothing can stop Afghan girls from learning and growing.

Due to the current restrictions in my country, I spend most of my time at home. My hobbies include exploring technology videos on YouTube, practicing English, reading books, and learning new things online. I find joy in gaining knowledge and searching for ways to improve myself every day.

Hamida's coding training

Hamida has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
