Helen's Story I became interested in coding during my first year of university under the influence of my friends. I decided to give it a try, and I was captivated by it! Prior to that, I had no idea what coding was because if I had known, I would have chosen a corresponding specialty when entering university. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to change my major when I realized my passion for working in the IT field. So, I made the most of my current major as a law student and extracted everything that could be useful to me, specifically choosing IT law as my focus within the university curriculum. While I thoroughly enjoy coding and have no desire to pursue a career in law, it was a step closer to my dream.

🙋‍♀️ Helen's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to pursue a career in the IT industry. It has been my dream for a long time. I have dedicated a lot of time to learning HTML and CSS, and I am also interested in web design. I find great joy in the coding process. Currently, I am dealing with health issues, and I spend a lot of time at home. Constant lack of sleep and the stress caused by the ongoing war have had a significant negative impact on me. My goal is to improve my skills and find remote work so that I can work comfortably and engage in a job that brings me joy. This program is perfectly suited for my goals. I want to learn React and other necessary skills to become a full-fledged front-end developer.

🤹‍♀️ Helen's Hobbies

One of my hobbies is sports. I dedicated 15 years of my life to volleyball and achieved significant success in it. Although my volleyball career has come to an end, I am now trying to replace it with yoga and stretching. Additionally, I enjoy cosplaying and playing Dota as a source of fun and entertainment.

Helen's coding training

Helen has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
