Isabel's Story During the Corona Virus Lockdown period in 2020, I first became interested in coding. Staying at home had left me feeling bored, prompting me to discover a website for coding called Freecodecamp. Learning coding on this platform proved to be quite challenging, as it was self-paced and my internet connection was limited at that time, making it difficult to watch interactive YouTube videos on Coding. However, this experience made me realize the power of technology as a tool to change the world. Now, I am determined to learn to code and pursue a successful career in the field.

🙋‍♀️ Isabel's Motivation

My motivation for enrolling in the She Codes program is to establish a successful career in the tech industry as a security engineer. I aim to learn how to provide top-notch security to web applications by identifying vulnerabilities such as SQL injections and buffer overflows. I have already completed some cybersecurity courses covering these concepts at a non-profit organization, but my only limitation is my lack of coding skills. By participating in She Codes, I hope to bridge this gap and learn how to code in order to build secure websites and further enhance my knowledge in cybersecurity.

Some of my hobbies including reading novels and cooking.I also enjoy listening to music in my spare time and spending time with my family.

Isabel's coding training

Isabel has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
