Janet 's Story I had a brief introduction to C++ in my third year of school. The unit was very interesting and I got to run my first code, 'Hello World'. I got really excited and wanted to write more codes and since then, I have been actively searching for avenues to teach myself coding.

🙋‍♀️ Janet 's Motivation

I am currently taking a scientific course and I would really love to shift my focus from science to tech. Initially I wanted to do a computer forensics course but it wasn't available in my country. An opportunity toearn coding and other tech related courses could help me bridge that gap and contribute my skills and knowledge to help people find justice through the investigation process. SheCodes offers valuable material for studying that has helped so many women before, and I believe this program would benefit me as well.

🤹‍♀️ Janet 's Hobbies

I love reading, listening to music, yoga and volunteering.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
