Joy's Story I became interested through a seminar. I attended a seminar where we were introduced to the possibility of learning coding. I believe that coding will go a long way to shape my understanding of the Information Technology and computer softwares.

I want to improve my job skills and to provide a standard living for my family. Coding is one of the fast selling skills in the world, especially on the Internet. It is a digital skill that I wish to add to my portfolio to boost my employability level. With coding skills, I can find remote jobs on online platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork and other freelancing sites. Also, I am motivated to learn coding because more girls need to be represented in the digital skill world and I am ready to be among them. With this skill, I will earn more and be able to further my education and that of my siblings.

I like to write. I love to create things, especially digital artwork, images. I play the guitar and violin. I enjoy hanging out with my close friends. We go for swimming and discuss about everything.

Joy's coding training

Joy has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
