Kagiso 's Story I first became interested in coding through my desire to grow and create a better life for myself. I’ve always been someone who wants more, more knowledge, more opportunities, and more independence. As I started exploring ways to build my own income streams and businesses, I realized how powerful digital skills are, especially coding. I didn’t grow up coding, but the more I learned about it, the more I saw it as a tool that could help me bring my ideas to life and not rely on anyone else to build things for me. It shifted from something intimidating to something empowering. That curiosity turned into real interest because I could see how coding connects to everything I want financial freedom, creativity, and building something meaningful for my future.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from my desire to build a better future for myself and create more opportunities. I’ve always been interested in growing, evolving, and not limiting myself to one path. Learning to code feels like stepping into a powerful space where I can combine creativity, business, and independence. I’m currently working towards becoming financially stable, building my own businesses, and expanding my skills, and I believe coding is a valuable tool that can open many doors for me globally. I want to be able to create, whether it’s websites, platforms, or digital solutions that can support my ideas and visions. SheCodes feels like the perfect place for me to start because it’s structured, empowering, and created for women who are ready to change their lives. I’m motivated, disciplined, and ready to commit to this journey not just to learn, but to truly transform my future.

In my free time, I enjoy activities that help me grow, express myself, and feel good mentally and physically. I love working out and taking care of my body, as it keeps me disciplined and energized. I’m also really into beauty and skincare, experimenting with routines and learning what works best for me. I enjoy anything creative, whether it’s exploring fashion, planning business ideas, or working on concepts for future projects. I also spend time focusing on personal development, like journaling, prayer, and setting goals for my life. At the same time, I like to unwind with simple things like listening to music, watching content that inspires me, or just having quiet time to reflect and reset.

Kagiso 's coding training

Kagiso has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
