kercy's Story first became interested in coding when I realized how much technology impacts our daily lives—and how powerful it is to be able to create something from scratch with just a computer. I was curious about how websites, apps, and digital tools work behind the scenes. That curiosity turned into a desire to learn coding myself. Whether it was seeing someone build a beautiful website or watching a simple idea turn into a working app, I was inspired by the creativity and problem-solving that coding allows.

My motivation for learning how to code with She Codes comes from a desire to develop practical, in-demand skills that will open new career opportunities and empower me to build real-world solutions. I’m drawn to She Codes because of its supportive community, hands-on approach, and focus on helping women break into tech. I want to not only understand how technology works but also create my own websites, apps, or even start a business in the future. Coding gives me the tools to turn my ideas into reality, and She Codes feels like the right place to start that journey.

some of my hobbies include reading, spending time outdoors, and exploring creative activities like drawing or journaling. I also enjoy learning new things—whether it's through podcasts, documentaries, or online courses. Recently, I've found coding to be both a fun and rewarding challenge, so I’ve started spending some of my free time experimenting with small projects and exploring how things work behind the scenes. I love anything that gives me a sense of growth and creativity.

kercy has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
