kgomotso's Story During my ICT course of study at an FET college. There was a Multimedia practical module that introduced me to coding. I got interested in coding as I was keen to understand how applications and programs functioned, as such I would conduct research in my spare time through watching online videos and tutorials to attain understanding and knowledge around coding.

🙋‍♀️ kgomotso's Motivation

To be awarded an opportunity to empower women in the information and technology systems field. I have once tried to join the Shecode foundation free once off class and due to financial constrains I couldn't afford the bootcamp. I am willing to put the work so i can make a change in my life and start to educate people about this foundation as I believe the opportunity is capable to change lives.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
