Khadijah's Story As a teenager, I was always fascinated with how apps and websites worked. This curiosity led me to start researching on how they were made, sparking my interest in frontend engineering. and after attending a free 1-week coding bootcamp, that experience solidified my passion for tech and made me feel like I belonged in this world.

🙋‍♀️ Khadijah's Motivation

My motivation to learn with SheCodes is two-fold. First, as a Peace and Conflict Studies student, I aim to bridge the gap between diplomacy, technology, and peacebuilding, especially in marginalized African communities. For example, I hope to develop a platform that uses AI to analyze social media data and identify potential conflict triggers, allowing for early intervention and de-escalation. Second, SheCodes' mission resonates with me as it empowers women affected by conflict, which aligns with my long-term goals, and offers a platform for positive change.

🤹‍♀️ Khadijah's Hobbies

I enjoy reading, hiking, yoga, and researching new technology. I enjoy experimenting with website builders like Wix, and writing, especially my morning pages which helps to boost my productivity.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
