Khanyisa's Story The honest truth is that growing up I thought anything tech or coding is a man’s job. I started sewing and following pages like women in tech and started getting interested in learning coding and also getting a qualification

🙋‍♀️ Khanyisa's Motivation

I am an African woman on a journey into the tech industry specifically coding, driven by being a mother and someone who couldn’t finish my studies due to finances and having to drop out of school. I would love to change my career and at least get a job that not only benefits me but my family. I would like to also motivate other women that it’s possible to do this at my age and also for females to learn coding and be good at it. My dream is to become a software engineer (backend)

🤹‍♀️ Khanyisa's Hobbies

I love reading the bible and spending time with my son. I love trying new things be it learning a new skill or trying a new sport.

🎯

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
