Khimpi's Story One year ago, I applied for a tech role job for which I had no experience or knowledge. I competed with young people from Maths and Comp Sci backgrounds. I thought I would fail and never clear all the rounds, but I did. There was even a coding round, and I could complete the required task albeit slowly, only based on their 30 minutes demo. I ended up not getting any offer, but I learned that I was the second person to be considered. This entire episode motivated me to actually learn to code because I realised I have it in me.

1. To increase my earning 2. To be able to work remotely, whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance 3. To update and upskill myself for the changing future which revolves around technology

🤹‍♀️ Khimpi's Hobbies

I like to read and paint to escape from reality. I also run a personal blog where I share my writings about travel, experiences, and random thoughts. I love gardening and long walks, and they offer me a different perspective on life.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
