Kiana's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized how much technology shapes our daily lives and the world around us. Whether it’s through apps, websites, or innovative software, coding is at the heart of solving problems and creating opportunities. My curiosity grew as I started exploring how technology works behind the scenes, and I became fascinated by the idea of being able to build something from scratch using just logic and creativity. Learning to code felt like unlocking a new way of thinking, and I knew it was a skill I wanted to develop to not only understand the digital world better but also to contribute to it in meaningful ways.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from a deep desire to empower myself with technical skills that are increasingly essential in today's digital world. SheCodes, with its focus on making coding accessible and engaging for women, provides the perfect environment for me to learn and grow. I am excited to join a supportive community that encourages diversity in tech and to gain the confidence and knowledge needed to pursue my goals in technology.

In my free time, I enjoy activities that help me grow both mentally and physically. I love reading books, as they allow me to explore new ideas, cultures, and perspectives. It’s a great way to relax while also expanding my knowledge. I’m also passionate about staying active, so I regularly go to the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyle and challenge myself physically. Additionally, I have a strong interest in technology, and I often spend time exploring the latest trends, tools, and innovations in the tech world. Whether it’s reading about new advancements or experimenting with tech-related projects, I find it both fun and inspiring.

Kiana's coding training

Kiana has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
