Kontu's Story I first became interested in coding during my diploma days when I saw how powerful technology can be in solving real-life problems. I was curious about how apps and websites work behind the scenes, so I started exploring Python and simple projects. As I continued learning, especially in my engineering journey, I realized that I really enjoy building things like ML models and working on projects like disease prediction and recommendation systems. Coding gives me a sense of creativity and control — I can turn an idea into something useful, and that keeps me motivated to keep learning and growing

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes is to build a strong foundation in tech and gain the skills needed to create real-world applications. I’m passionate about problem-solving and technology, and I see coding as a powerful tool to bring ideas to life. SheCodes offers a structured, beginner-friendly environment led by experienced mentors, which makes it an ideal place for me to start or enhance my coding journey. Ultimately, I want to use these skills to pursue a career in tech, contribute to meaningful projects, and increase opportunities for myself in a fast-growing industry.

Some of my hobbies include exploring new tech tools and working on mini ML or coding projects — I actually find that fun! Apart from that, I enjoy watching tech videos, reading about AI advancements, and solving logical puzzles. When I want to relax, I listen to music or spend time chatting with friends. I also like participating in hackathons or coding competitions — they’re challenging but exciting and help me learn a lot.

Kontu's coding training

Kontu has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
