Laura 's Story I became interested in coding around 15 years ago when I started noticing its omnipresence in our world. However, I had reservations because I believed that coding wouldn't amount to much unless one came from an affluent family, attended a prestigious institution, or pursued engineering. I considered it an impossible feat for someone like me, lacking confidence, resources, and even questioning my own intelligence. However, my perspective shifted when I discovered that my self-taught cousin is currently living in Germany and working for Microsoft. He shared with me his journey, explaining that it took him eight years to reach that point, but he was proud of his accomplishments. This filled me with admiration and a newfound determination! Considering my logical thinking and passion for learning, I found coding to be an appealing option. I have always enjoyed designing, being creative and spending hours immersed in computer-related activities, making the idea of working with code highly intriguing. The fascination with coding grew even stronger. Besides the potential for a lucrative salary, coding offers numerous advantages, including the opportunity to obtain a digital nomad visa, the flexibility of remote work, and a broad range of practical applications across various fields. The versatility and potential for personal and professional growth in coding further attracted me, fueling my motivation to pursue it wholeheartedly. Recently, I embarked on a journey to learn the fundamentals of programming, enhancing my analytical thinking skills along the way. Diligently following free resources and tutorials, I have expanded my knowledge in this field. Although I am still a beginner, the endless possibilities offered by coding continue to captivate me. This has ignited a sense of hope within me, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the learning process thus far. This culmination of factors has solidified my interest in coding, pushing me to pursue it with dedication and enthusiasm.
