Laura's Story Last year I started studying the basics: HTML & CSS, and I fell in love with CSS. Changing and selecting the styles of a website and all things related to how the page looks really caught my attention. Right now, I'm learning a little bit of JavaScript by watching videos and tutorials on YouTube.

🙋‍♀️ Laura's Motivation

I'd love to join this amazing women's community to learn a lot about coding and front-end. I am really impressed by the opportunity you're giving women to improve their lives by joining this program. I think it empowers us to be better, to be part of an industry where not so many of us are included, and to make a lasting impact in our lives.

🤹‍♀️ Laura's Hobbies

Right now, I'm really enjoying learning CSS. I love colors, linear gradients, fonts, and everything about styles, so I enjoy researching it. I like watching series on Netflix. I'm currently watching Shtisel. The S3:E1 was truly heartbreaking and left me feeling all the feels.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
